😨 Do Large Language Models Threaten Google?
ChatGPT and other large language models could disrupt Google's business, but hurdles stand in the way.
✍️ Generate Articles, Publish Errors
CNET suspended its practice of publishing articles produced by a text-generation model following news reports that exposed the articles’ authorship.
🇨🇳 Regulators Target Deepfakes
Legislation from the Cyberspace Administration of China limits the use of AI to create or edit text, audio, video, images, and 3D digital renderings. The law took effect on January 10.
The rules regulate so-called “deep synthesis” services are for instance: “AI may not be used to generate output that endangers national security, disturbs economic or social order, or harms China’s image. “

Alibaba presents its top 10 technology: Pre-trained models, chiplet, cloud-native security…
📡 Use WiFi to see through the walls
Advances in computer vision and machine learning techniques have led to significant development in human pose estimation from RGB cameras, LiDAR, and radars. However, human pose estimation from images is adversely affected by occlusion.
To address these limitations, recent research has explored the use of WiFi antennas (1D sensors) for body segmentation and key-point body detection. This paper further expands on the use of the WiFi signal in combination with deep learning architectures to estimate dense human pose correspondence.
📦 Accelerating our A/B experiments with machine learning
Like many companies, Dropbox runs experiments that compare two product versions—A and B—against each other to understand what works best for our users. When a company generates revenue from selling advertisements, analyzing these A/B experiments can be done promptly; did a user click on an ad or not?
Dropbox share its insights.
